Analyst, Reconciliations

This is a part-time role.

As a Reconciliations Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of NewDay's financial records. Working closely with Finance and Operational teams, you'll investigate and resolve reconciliation variances, analyse financial data, identify risks and help drive process improvements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data and building strong stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced financial environment.

How you'll contribute

• Perform daily reconciliation activities, including matching, investigation and escalation of aged items.
• Complete monthly ledger reconciliations, adjustments and transfers accurately and on time.
• Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
• Support issue resolution and remediation activities, ensuring risks are managed appropriately.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain reconciliation documentation in line with policy requirements.

We're looking for these essential skills

• A basic understanding of accounting and reconciliation principles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large volumes of numerical data.
• Good spreadsheet skills, particularly within Excel.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

It's a plus if you also have these skills

• Experience using Sun General Ledger.
• Previous experience in a reconciliations, finance operations or accounting environment.
• Knowledge of financial controls, governance or risk management processes.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Understanding of issue management and remediation activities.
