Job Description for Posting Deputy Manager - Compliance (Grade - D1)
Role Description:
To understand the policies and procedures of Marsh McLennan and maintain due diligence and screening process. To review the Group's Financial Crime documents for internal and external compliance purposes and maintain the system and records. Manage effective delivery of SLA and people management. Managing Stakeholders and Business. Contribute to process migrations and implementation.
Role Requirements:
- An understanding of Due Diligence & Screening.
- Managing Adhoc projects and understanding on Compliance Monitoring.
- Good email writing, communication skills and interpersonal skills along with good Excel experience.
- Problem solving skills in a multi-product / service environment.
- Ability to understand business issues / customer requirements and provide solutions.
- People management.
- Responsive and enthusiastic and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Create a strong culture of risk and compliance consciousness within Marsh McLennan through external influence on teams.
- To be abreast with the recent regulatory changes / developments and its impact on Marsh McLennan business across the globe.
- Build and develop strong relationships with UK team by building credibility and engaging on a day-to-day basis.
- Review work of peers and mentor new hires.
- Responsible for developing the quality standards of the team.
- Have a view and information on the skills and knowledge gaps of team and plan for training, cross skilling, and up skilling of all team members for current and future needs.
Principal Accountabilities
- Independently manage projects for Marsh McLennan deals across the globe.
- Maintain tracker, prepare dashboards, escalating to respective Local Compliance officers.
- Review risk assessment reports on prospect and existing parties highlighting the various risk factors that may be involved in doing business with them.
- Managing working flow in India and ensuring productivity and accuracy as per defined SLA’s and guidelines.
- Understanding of Internal and external policies & procedures in relating to Compliance Monitoring.
- Ensure tracking and timely submission of reports, MIS’s or any correspondence to Management staff.
- Ensure regular updates, error analysis and implementation of process improvement.
- Work on the feedback from Senior Manager, Financial Crime and Prevention team, UK or through Internal / External Audits. Ensure timely closure on any material issues highlighted.
- To monitor policies are reviewed on regular basis and ensure necessary amendments of the policies are either incorporated or feedback is being shared with FCP Team, London for further review.
Relationships:
- Need based interaction with DRs and monthly one-on-ones to review BAU performance, feedback.
- Need based interaction with Management for exceptions and decision.
- Participate and proactively contribute to general management activities of Marsh McLennan as a member of the Marsh McLennan India TPP team.
- Regular interaction with Stakeholders and Business teams operating companies and Group Risk team.
Education/ Qualification:
- Graduate from a recognized University with good academic record.
- ACAMS or any equivalent certifications or any Insurance Certification.
- May have further professional qualifications in Risk Management and / or Financial Crime / Money Laundering and / or Compliance and / or Legal.
Work Qualifications:
- Ability to research and summarize appropriate information.
- Innovative – pro-activity in Business Contacts development / improvements.
- Experience in dealing with regulator UK, USA, Middle East, India, or any jurisdictions.
Experience:
- More than 8 years of relevant experience in Due Diligence, Screening, Sanctions, AML / CFT, KYC policies and procedure, etc.
