Summary of Role:

This position is for a Product Integration Principal Engineer to be a part of a Fab Integration engineering team participating in advance technology development and manufacturing implementation in GlobalFoundries’ state of the art 300mm wafer fab (Fab8) in Malta, New York.

The primary responsibility of this position is to work with integration team for customer engagement and process improvement. Identify, resolve, and improve process integration issues and related problems. Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of as an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently):

• Identify and resolve process integration issues and related problems
• Develop custom or derivative processes to meet customer needs
• Support new designs with module characterization and design rule development
• Work with cross function teams to resolve technical & yield concerns
• Develop and improve test structures that enable fast and rigorous characterization of process
• Drive CIP (Continuous improvement plans) to deliver organizational goals
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed

Exercises judgment in areas outside of broadly defined practices and policies in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Intermediate level of geographic complexity.

• Accountability: Plans, directs and is accountable for all activities and results of a single function (or multiple smaller functions). Function(s) represent a large segment of a division, country, strategic global account, major regional account, or global corporate function. Establishes organizational procedures and plans, consistent with corporate policy. Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to corporate policy. Provides leadership, direction and strategy development and makes final administrative or operational decisions within level of authority or, as applicable, recommends course of action on matters affecting the organization managed. Work is performed without appreciable direction and is reviewed on a quarterly or project basis.

• Relationship: Focus activities through at least two manager level employees and/or Sr. Individual Contributors. Responsible for developing and driving implementation of plans in support of strategic direction. Ensures that overall budget and performance standards are realistically set and attained. Recommends organization structure for area managed and develops performance standards for area managed. Establishes standards and procedures for their areas managed. Interacts regularly with executives and equivalent level managers across functions and regions concerning matters of significance to the company.

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Requires functional expertise, broad company knowledge and additional industry or business knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

  

• Education: Minimum B.S Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering or other relevant engineering or physical science discipline.
• Experience – 4 Years Semiconductor/Fab related experience in advance technology (20nm node or below). Experience in transferring, implementing, ramping, and sustaining process technologies in a high-volume foundry manufacturing setting, with a focus on customer specific product/ technology targeting and customization, process simplification and optimization for yield improvement and cost reduction.

Expected Salary Range

$85,000.00 - $146,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
