Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will support access control, observe facility activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing incoming and outgoing vehicles and personnel, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor, contractor, and driver activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
