Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Observation in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service while communicating professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, access points, and property perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and coordinate with emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and security-related issues to property management and Allied Universal leadership in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
