General Area of Responsibility
The Technical Analyst will be responsible for the control and management of defects reports sent by the vessel and the initial assignment of the work to the Vesel Superintendents and supervisors, according to the priorities of the department.
Specific Area of Responsibility:
The main tasks will be:
· Report the changes in the control of defect reports to the Technical and M&R Superintendents.
· Verify that all Defect Reports are addressed properly in the right component of the Tree Structure in SERTICA.
· Support shore staff and crews with procedures related to Sertica.
· Prepare training material to share with crew and shore staff on the main activities in Sertica like create Defect Reports, RQ, Good Received to RQ, update counters, etc.
· Send weekly defect report updates/list to the shore staff, that includes the general status of the actions.
· Send weekly reports to the shore staff related to the RQ without issued POs and POs pending for Good Received.
· Send weekly reports for main components follow up (oil analysis reports, battery changes, UOOS, audits and other reports request)
· Provide timely follow-up to HSM actions assigned to the Technical department.
· Verify the correct filling of the MVR form in HMS, support the crew to fill it correctly.
· Support business activities and ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective processes, complying with any contractual and Company’s requirements.
· Perform other ad hoc tasks as needed.
Required/Preferred Education
· University degree in Naval Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Diesel, or related area.
Training and Experience
· More than 2 years of experience in similar position, preferable.
· Solid understanding of industrial mechanics, hydraulic / diesel mechanics, fuel systems, lubrication and refrigeration, desirable.
· Fluent written and spoken Spanish. Advanced written and spoken English preferred.
· Proficient in MS Office application.
· Safety environment awareness.
