The Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our National Accounting Team based in Parramatta, NSW.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role provides critical financial accounting support that contributes to the achievement of business objectives while supporting the broader operational accounting function. You will partner with operational stakeholders across the business, delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and commercial support in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Complete month-end financial processing and end-to-end reporting for designated business units
• Ensure reporting is delivered in line with corporate and group reporting deadlines
• Support key areas of the financial accounting function, including fixed assets, banking, leases, and hierarchy maintenance
• Prepare monthly management reports and external reporting disclosures
• Provide monthly forecasting for business units within your portfolio
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Ensure trial balance integrity to support tax effect accounting, income tax returns, and statutory reporting requirements
• Provide day-to-day accounting and commercial support to operational managers and operational accounting analysts
• Assist with the preparation of annual financial plans and budgets
• Support capital expenditure processes, including forecasting, asset under construction reviews, and capitalisation activities
• Support the integration of acquisitions into existing business processes and systems
• Reconcile project revenue entries against progress claims
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and investigation of accounting issues
• Assist in the management of internal and external audit requirements

About You

You are an organised and commercially minded accounting professional with strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering accurate

and timely financial information.

Experience & Qualifications

• Relevant accounting and commercial experience
• CA, CPA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• Strong understanding of Australian and International Accounting Standards
• Sound knowledge of accounting policies and statutory compliance requirements
• Experience working within a complex business environment

Skills & Attributes

• Advanced SAP knowledge and experience
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and workflow systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
