Hourly: $30.63 - $39.82Position Summary
With general supervision, the Human Resources Associate provides comprehensive support and response for the daily operations of the Human Resources Business Partner team by executing Human Resources (HR) policies and procedures, initiating resource planning, and maintaining interdepartmental communication. Partners with HRBPs to provide support to clients by building credible and trusted relationships with business leaders. Provides support for human resource transactions including document management, HRIS entry, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and special projects. This role is positioned within a highly functioning HR team with a focus on relationships, culture, talent development, data interpretation, goals, and initiatives. The goal is to ensure the HR department's operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Essential Functions:
- Performs supportive and routine tasks to support Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and client groups.
- Partners with HRBPs and leaders to support business goals as necessary.
- Supports HRBPs and leaders in researching and compiling information and metrics to facilitate HR strategy and support HRBP client groups.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries on policy related topics.
- Responds in a timely manner and provides updates, as needed, to internal and external customer inquiries.
- Coordinates employee onboarding in conjunction with Talent Acquisition, the HR Business Partner, and the hiring manager.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
- Ensure employee files and records are stored in appropriate electronic format.
- Enhance employee satisfaction by resolving issues promptly.

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field, required.
- Two (2) to four (4) years’ of experience as a Human Resources professional required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
- Experience providing service to a remote workforce preferred.
- Experience in higher education preferred.
- Experience working in a technology-driven enterprise preferred.

- Working knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws and human resource principles, practices and processes.
- Ability to organize documents and workflow.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
- Proactive self-starter, taking full ownership of HR initiatives and promptly implementing solutions while continuously updating key business stakeholders on progress.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software related to Human Resources Information Systems.
