Operations Analyst

We’re looking for an Operations Analyst to join our Insurance Operations team at MGS. In this role, you are responsible for providing compensation administration for Advisors’ across multiple distribution channels ensuring calendar deadlines are met to ensure accurate and timely compensation payment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate Advisor compensation by validating accuracy and processing entries as required.
• Apply special compensation bonuses, Fundserv wires, within determined service standards
• Responsible to respond to day to day internal and external complex advisor inquiries, analyze and provide expert recommendations and resolutions
• Creation of tax duplicates for T4A\Releve
• Manage returned cheques and EFT rejects along with stale dated cheque process
• Responsible to manually calculate and upload compensation calculations and advances within our service level commitments to meet our audit requirements
• Establish priorities through workflow management to support our regularly scheduled commission runs and calendar deadlines to ensure timely delivery of compensation to advisors
• Identify and make recommendations to streamline existing processes
• Submit problem case logs and enhancements to iPortal for further investigation.  Know when to escalate matters and work together to collaborate on findings
• Responsible to manage day-to-day workflow using strong judgment in making independent decisions
• Work together with internal departments to determine cause of errors/exception while building strong rapport
• May be required to handle call out as needed
• Such other duties and functions as assigned by the Supervisor

Required Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactions accurately.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to compose clear, concise, and professional business communications.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or any related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in compensation administration, payroll, commissions, incentives, or financial transaction processing.
• Experience working in insurance, financial services, banking, or wealth management industries.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
• Experience handling complex customer or advisor inquiries and issue resolution.
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
