What you’ll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia to develop tools and services that provide functionality to wealth management clients. Develop and support reactive software applications, web services, data stores and some web-based User Interfaces. Analyze user specifications and requirements and providing assistance in onboarding alerts for the platform, performing testing and debugging applications if there is any issue. Own the release management activities which include coordination of release activities within and across teams, prepare release runbook, release notes and automated deployment manifests. Work closely and assist with DeployOps and Support to get changes rolled over to Production with no incident. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study.

-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Developer Associate, Consultant, Software Engineer, or a related role.

-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:

• Python and Unix;
• PL-SQL;
• ETL, including Informatica and DB2 load;
• Job scheduling including Autosys;
• Reporting tools including Tableau or Business Objects (BO);
• CI/CD Pipeline;
• Database analysis and design;
• Code quality analysis tools including SonarQube;
• AI Tools including GitHub Co-Pilot for software development;
• Working on a global agile software development team; and

Analyzing business requirements and defining the appropriate design with respect to data modeling, configuration, and customization of applications.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $158,000 and $158,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
