The role
The Process Engineer role is critical to the development of our factories to World Class, which means zero defects, zero waste and zero losses. He/She will apply extensively the full range of Focused Improvement methods and tools to counter losses identified in the areas of Safety, Quality, Business priority and Cost Deployment, Autonomous maintenance, Customer Service and Agility. The Business priority and Cost Deployment pillar will be populated with data built up through application of the Managing Manufacturing Performance Code, which is key to ensuring focus on the main losses. Working directly with the line crews on a daily basis the Process Engineer also acts as the technical trainer for line teams and provides coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis and the establishment of counter-measures. The Process Engineer is responsible for the validation of all process improvements and the establishment of revised basic conditions on the line. Process engineers can suggest an automation solution to attack certain losses or participate in a factory automation projects if he/she has relevant expertise
What you'll be responsible for
- ICMS. Apply the full set of ICMS methods and tools to identify root causes, define countermeasures and validate their effectiveness, mastery of FI , AM, PM, Q and PD methods and tools. Establish standards to support lin operators sustain new basic conditions.
- Analytical capability, basics of statistics, basics of coding to collect and analyze complex data to penetrate problems’ phenomena and understand root causes
- Engineering. Apply technical engineering skills (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automation, others) to do practical problem solving;
- Process Design and manpower optimization, including NVAA reduction technics. Leverage technical knowledge and a systems approach to ensure factory lines and processes are optimally resourced (e.g. manpower ratios are efficient and sustainable).
- Manufacturing & Packaging technology. Rely on basic but consistent understanding of the manufacturing technologies of the Category to drive relevant process Improvement;
We're looking for someone who
- Has Industrial Engineering degree
- Brings strong skills in: Root cause analysis; Loss analysis; Lean Manufacturing;
Automation & Digital Manufacturing; Project Management
- Thinks end-to-end and takes ownerships for results
- Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organization
- Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working
