Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Access Compliance in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity entering and leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations promptly and coordinate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
