Job Overview
The Senior HR Executive – Payroll & Talent Acquisition will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations while supporting and coordinating talent acquisition activities. The role requires a strong understanding of HR practices, payroll processes, recruitment, employee records, and statutory compliance, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the end-to-end monthly payroll process accurately and within deadlines.
- Maintain accurate employee records relating to attendance, leave, overtime, allowances, deductions, and payroll changes.
- Ensure accurate calculation and processing of salaries and statutory deductions.
- Handle employee queries related to payroll and HR matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and payroll requirements.
- Prepare payroll reports and HR-related reports for management.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee and payroll information.
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating selections.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements and recruitment needs.
- Manage job advertisements, candidate communication, interview arrangements, and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update recruitment and employee databases.
- Support onboarding and documentation of newly recruited employees.
- Assist with other HR activities and projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in HR, with hands-on exposure to payroll and talent acquisition.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing and HR administration.
- Good understanding of Sri Lankan statutory requirements related to payroll and employment.
- Practical experience in recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and HR/payroll systems.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet payroll and recruitment deadlines.
- Willingness to work from Katunayaka.
