Specialty Underwriter - TMS Primary Casualty (Naperville, IL)

We are looking for a Specialty Underwriter to join our Underwriting Primary Casualty team!

Summary:
Under moderate direction and supervision, underwrites and markets assigned products by providing intermediate levels of risk assessment and technical underwriting expertise to determine underwriting acceptability.

A typical day will include the following:

• Assists with gathering and analyzing information, applies appropriate underwriting techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of risk acceptability.
• Prepares and participates in marketing activities for business development and relationship building.
• Prepares underwriting submissions, making recommendations and/or decisions within established authority limits.
• Participates in the producer management process which may include, but is not limited to, premium collections.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years underwriting experience required
• Previous primary casualty underwriting experience preferred
• Demonstrated marketing and agency development skills/experience required
• Analytical, results-oriented and possess a strong sense of urgency
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
