A welcoming and community-focused infant school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join the team from September on a 1-year contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive school environment where early reading and child development are highly valued. The school follows the Little Wandle phonics programme, with 87% of pupils achieving the expected standard in phonics. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will therefore benefit from strong curriculum structures, excellent support and collaborative planning across the phase.

The school is looking for a Year 2 Teacher who will:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform planning
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
• Contribute positively to the wider school community

This Year 2 Teacher role is suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop within a supportive setting.
