Technical Project Manager - Data Center Construction

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee our DC construction fit-outs. This position will be responsible for leading projects from the initial planning phase through to completion, ensuring all aspects of the construction fit-out are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.

The addition of a Technical Project Manager for data center construction projects is essential for ensuring the successful and timely delivery of these critical infrastructure projects. This role will improve our ability to expand our data center capabilities, support NVIDIA’s growth, and maintain our competitive position in the technology sector. The Technical Project Manager will play a pivotal role in streamlining operations, improving resource management, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, leading to increased efficiency and project success.

What you'll be doing:

• Project Leadership: Own the planning, execution, and successful delivery of data center construction projects, ensuring all project goals and landmarks are met.

• Team Coordination: Work closely with a complementary team of architects, engineers, contractors, and internal partners to coordinate all project activities and ensure alignment on objectives and timelines.

• Detailed Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, landmarks, and deliverables, ensuring all aspects of the construction fit out are covered.

• Risk Management: Monitor project progress continuously, identify potential risks, and develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to address any issues that arise.

• Budget Management: Coordinate project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and costs are controlled during the project lifecycle.

• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest safety standards on site.

• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to partners through status reports and presentations, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project.

What we need to see:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.

• 12+ years proven experience leading construction projects, with a strong preference for experience in data center or IT infrastructure projects.

• In-depth understanding of construction processes, data center technologies, and project management methodologies.

• Strong organizational and communication skills to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience with large-scale construction fit-out projects.

• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy-efficient data center design.

• Familiarity with industry-standard project management software and tools.

• Proven ability to handle sophisticated projects and deliver results on time and within budget.

• Leadership experience in a construction or project management role.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD for Level 5, and 240,000 USD - 379,500 USD for Level 6.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
