We are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Engineer to become part of our Global Quality group, specifically for the team of Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) Return Material Authorization (RMA). This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who have a solid technical background and a passion for failure analysis, product quality, and reliability engineering.
You will support the examination of customer-reported problems in this position. You will take part in determining root causes and cooperate with various teams to boost product quality and stop failures from happening again.
Key Responsibilities
- Support failure analysis (FA) activities on returned products to identify failure mechanisms
- Support root cause analysis through structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D)
- Examine test data, logs, and manufacturing information to detect patterns and irregularities
- Contribute to preparation of technical reports (FA reports, 8D) for internal and customer use leveraging AI
- Work with cross-functional teams (Build, Process, Manufacturing, Reliability) to support issue resolution
- Participate in quality monitoring and data analysis to track trends and detect deviations applying AI
- Assist in the definition and tracking of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of electronics and semiconductor devices
- Familiarity with data analysis (Excel, basic statistics)
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or academic experience in failure investigation, reliability, or quality engineering
- Experience with memory technology such as NAND, SSD, eMMC, UFS
- Familiarity with Linux environment or scripting (Python) and AI tools
- Fundamental understanding of quality tools (8D, root cause analysis)

What You Will Learn

- See customer-facing quality processes and technical communication
- Proactively explore opportunities to contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
The base salary range that Micron estimates it could pay in for this position full-time is:
33.000,00 € - 56.000,00 € per year, with B2 CCNL Level.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
