SOS Children’s Village Albania is a private nongovernmental and non-profit organization, which makes every attempt to offer a permanent home to the children who have lost their parents or for several reasons have no possibility to live with them. The SOS Children’s Village also strongly supports the children at risk of losing their families, and the families in need through implementation of different projects aiming at the further development of their capacities.

 

SOS Children’s Villages Albania is looking for a qualified and motivated professional for the position of

 

PR & Communication Expert

 

Location: National Office, TiranaNature of engagement: Part-time

 

The PR Communication Expert will play a key role in strengthening the visibility, public image and communication of SOS Children’s Villages Albania. The Expert will be responsible for designing and implementing national awareness and communication campaigns, developing promotional and communication materials, coordinating organizational PR events, and managing the organization’s communication channels in close collaboration with the National Office team.

 

Requirements for the position:

• University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in PR, communications, media relations or a related field.
• Proven experience in communication campaigns, content development, social media and media relations.
• Experience in organizing events and developing communication and visibility materials.
• Strong writing, editing, storytelling and networking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and collaborate with different teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken Albanian and English.
• Good digital skills and familiarity with communication/content creation tools.
• Driving license and willingness to travel when required.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and implement organizational PR and communication activities in line with SOS Children’s Villages Albania’s strategy and priorities.
• Develop communication content, including press releases, articles, stories, social media content and other visibility materials.
• Manage and coordinate the organization’s social media and digital communication activities.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with media and other relevant external stakeholders.
• Coordinate communication and visibility for organizational events, campaigns and public activities.
• Support the development and implementation of awareness-raising campaigns.
• Ensure consistent use of the SOS Children’s Villages brand and messaging.
• Monitor media coverage and communication performance and prepare relevant reports.
• Work closely with projects and National Office teams to identify and communicate organizational achievements and impact.
• Ensure that all communication activities involving children and young people comply with safeguarding, confidentiality and consent requirements.
