Data Governance Specialist
Job Summary
Supports the development and implementation of data governance practices to improve data quality, ownership, consistency, security, and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support data ownership and stewardship frameworks.
- Define and maintain data definitions, business glossaries, and metadata.
- Monitor data quality and coordinate remediation activities.
- Develop data quality rules and monitoring processes.
- Support master data and critical data management.
- Coordinate with business and IT data stakeholders.
- Support data classification, access, privacy, and security requirements.
- Maintain data governance documentation.
- Prepare data governance reports and metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Data Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or related fields.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and data lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Experience with data governance or data quality tools is an advantage.
