- Base Salary starting at $93,345 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Research Assistant – Clinical Neurosciences will contribute to clinical research activities through supporting the development, coordination and delivery of research projects. The role will support research protocols, clinical studies, data acquisition, data management, analysis and reporting activities while working collaboratively with researchers, clinical specialists and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality research outcomes through accurate data collection, research administration, stakeholder engagement and the maintenance of comprehensive research documentation. The role will also support compliance requirements, research reporting processes and the effective delivery of clinical research activities within a research-intensive environment.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- contribute to the design and development of research protocols, ensuring timely execution of clinical research activities
- coordinate and support research activities including data acquisition, clinical studies, data management and reporting
- assist with data collection and analysis, ensuring data quality, accuracy and integrity
- coordinate and submit grant applications, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements
- provide guidance on research regulations, policies and procedures to support research activities
- collaborate with researchers, clinical specialists and affiliated partners to share findings and progress
- manage research documentation, including preparation and maintenance of research records and publication-related materials
- facilitate communication with stakeholders, proactively addressing concerns and supporting effective research partnerships
- coordinate research reports, verify data accuracy within university systems and support compliance initiatives
- process purchasing and payment activities, ensuring accurate and timely invoice management
- contribute to workplace health and safety practices and support continuous improvement within the work environment
- undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.
About you
- tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
- prior experience with neuroimaging, and multi-site research co-ordination, governance, and data management is desirable
- experience conducting scientific literature searches and supporting research activities
- experience working in a research-intensive environment and the higher education sector
- experience managing, reporting and disseminating research data
- experience supporting research administration processes, including grant applications
- strong data analysis skills and experience using research software
- excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with researchers, clinical specialists and stakeholders
- demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative research team.
