Transport Coordinator / Administrator - Bulk Cartage

We’re looking for a Transport Coordinator / Administrator to support our Bulk Cartage team and wider Transport Division. In this role, you’ll help keep work moving, information accurate, customers informed, and admin done right the first time.

This is a busy, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with customers, drivers, subcontractors and internal teams to coordinate daily jobs, keep systems up to date, and make sure the detail behind the scenes is sorted.

It’s good work for someone who likes variety, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in getting things done properly.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Bulk Cartage jobs, including planning and resourcing the work and allocating jobs to the appropriate drivers and subcontractors.
• Communicate clearly with customers, drivers, subcontractors, supervisors and internal teams about job requirements, changes and issues.
• Manage day-to-day resource allocation and escalate any clashes, missing information or capacity issues.
• Enter orders, set up jobs and maintain transport system information accurately.
• Check job details, customer instructions, references and supporting documents are complete and correct before allocation.

• Experience in transport, logistics, dispatch, coordination or administration.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.
• Strong organisation skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with numbers, claims, dockets and invoices.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across teams.
• A practical, proactive approach, with a focus on safety, teamwork and getting the job done well.
