Working with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you will translate complex operational requirements into safe, functional, and constructible environments. This role combines technical leadership, project delivery, client engagement, and mentorship, with responsibility for delivering quality work on schedule and within budget.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead architectural project delivery. Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate large or complex architectural assignments for industrial facilities, including new construction, expansions, and renovations.
  • Design around industrial operations. Develop architectural solutions that address production workflows, personnel and material movement, maintenance access, durability, and flexibility for future operational changes.

  • Coordinate across disciplines. Integrate architectural design with structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, fire protection, and process engineering requirements, resolving interfaces between building systems and production equipment.

  • Guide code compliance and life safety. Evaluate applicable building codes, occupancy classifications, allowable building areas, fire-resistance requirements, egress, and accessibility in coordination with other project disciplines.

  • Manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Take responsibility for architectural deliverables, construction cost estimating, budget adherence, quality control, and interdisciplinary coordination.

  • Serve as architect in responsible charge. Sign and seal drawings and documents prepared personally or under your responsible charge, as defined by the applicable jurisdiction.

  • Resolve complex technical challenges. Apply specialized architectural knowledge to unique industrial requirements, existing facility constraints, and construction phasing within operating facilities.

  • Lead and mentor project staff. Plan, organize, supervise, and review the work of architects and architectural designers assigned to your projects.

  • Build strong client relationships. Lead client meetings, clarify operational and facility requirements, resolve significant design questions, and coordinate project decisions with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support construction execution. Evaluate materials, equipment, manufacturer quality, and field construction for conformance with project requirements; accept or reject major items within the architectural scope.

  • Contribute to business development. Help define project scope, prepare contract proposals, and participate in client presentations.

  • Exercise professional judgment. Work independently within broad project objectives, with administrative supervision.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture.

  • Current registration as a licensed architect.

  • Twelve (12) or more years of related practical architectural experience with previous employers

  • Demonstrated experience leading architectural design and delivery for industrial, manufacturing, or production facilities, including new construction, expansions, and renovations.

  • Ability to translate operational requirements into architectural solutions that support production workflows, personnel and material movement, maintenance access, durability, and future flexibility.

  • Strong working knowledge of building codes, industrial occupancy classifications, fire-resistance requirements, life safety, egress, and accessibility.

  • Experience coordinating architectural design with structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, fire protection, and process engineering disciplines, including the integration of building systems and production equipment.

  • Proven ability to manage architectural scope, schedules, budgets, construction cost estimates, and quality reviews for large or complex projects.

  • Experience serving as architect in responsible charge, with knowledge of applicable professional practice requirements for signing and sealing construction documents.

  • Ability to resolve complex design and construction challenges, including existing facility constraints and phased construction within operating facilities.

  • Ability to travel locally and regionally for site visits and client meetings as project requirements dictate.
  • A valid driver's license. May be waived for international assignments.

What We’ll Bring

  • High-impact industrial work. You will collaborate on complex, large-scale manufacturing and industrial projects that shape modern industry, working alongside top-tier clients and multidisciplinary technical teams.

  • Competitive total rewards. We provide an attractive compensation package that includes performance-based incentives, retirement savings plans with company matching, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Work-life balance and flexibility. We support our team members with generous paid time off, paid company holidays, and flexible work arrangements designed to help you balance professional commitments with personal life.
