Initial term: 7 months (position expected to run longer)
Schedule: Tue/Wed/Thur in office, Mon/Fri WFH

About This Role: 

The Senior Financial Analyst (Accounting Function) is a skilled and detail-oriented professional responsible for supporting the organization's general ledger accounting and financial reporting needs. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate and timely provision of financial information, in compliance with the company's reporting policies and systems.

What You'll Do:

• Gather and interpret financial information effectively and form data into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the general ledger accounting function.
• Maintain and update the general ledger by recording all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and complete recording of financial transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
• Train and coach finance users in adoption and implementation of analytical tools and address system issues identified by the business stakeholders.
• All other duties as assigned.

 

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field / CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance required.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency in SAP system.
• Experience in Blackline reconciliation platform.
• Experience in process mapping.
• Experience with automation tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and statements.
• Well-organized and methodical thinker with strong decision-making abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative team environment and effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to influence without authority across divisions and teams to drive process improvements and automation.
• Passion for solving complex problems and generating cross-functional solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
