Business IT Consultant – Financial Services / Insurance Team

As a member of the Accenture Insurance Poland practice, you will work with leading insurance and financial services organizations in Poland and Europe, supporting them in transforming their business models, processes and technology landscape.

Our work spans from strategy advisory and management consulting to technology-enabled transformations, including AI and Generative AI implementation. Our portfolio covers projects across the insurance value chain, including bancassurance and distribution model transformation, new product launches, Target Operating Model (TOM) design, process optimization, claims and operations transformation, core insurance system implementations, and AI/GenAI adoption programs.

You will work at the intersection of business and technology, helping clients design and implement solutions that address business challenges and support successful transformation.

THE WORK

• Conduct business analysis and business design activities, including requirements definition, business process analysis, process mapping and functional gap analysis.

• Analyze current business / operational / IT processes to identify opportunities for improvement, optimization and transformation.

• Design new and improved business / IT processes tailored to client requirements and business objectives.

• Develop solutions by leveraging established consulting methodologies, tools and assets.

• Support transformation initiatives across different areas of the insurance value chain, including distribution, products, claims, operations and core insurance systems.

• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements, explore solution options, align stakeholders and support decision-making.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of transformation initiatives.

• Support the design of target operating models, IT/business models and future-state processes.

• Contribute to the development of business cases and recommendations, supporting clients in evaluating transformation options and making informed decisions.

• Support projects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from analysis and solution design through implementation and testing.

• Maintain structured project communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Business Design, business transformation or other relevant project-related roles.

• At least basic understanding of the Polish insurance market, including relevant market trends, insurance products and business processes.

• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Experience in business process analysis, process design and improvement, system implementation activities

• Strong understanding of Business Design principles and ability to translate business challenges into practical solutions.

• Understanding of project management and delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid approaches.

• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work across different stakeholder groups and contribute effectively to project discussions and decision-making.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective cooperation with business and IT stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.

• Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with commonly used project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

• Professional working proficiency in Polish and English at C1 level or above.

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field of studies.

• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE

• Previous experience in the insurance sector and/or consulting or implementation projects within financial services.

• Experience in consulting, transformation or implementation projects within the financial services industry, particularly insurance or banking.

• Hands-on experience with insurance core systems or commonly used back-office platforms.

• Experience working with senior business and IT stakeholders.

• Experience in Business Model Strategy and Target Operating Model design.

• Experience supporting technology-enabled transformation initiatives, including AI or Generative AI solutions.
