This opportunity plays a key role in aligning with business stakeholders to identify enterprise technology solutions. This position enables capabilities that deliver value to clients and position HNTB for growth and achievement of the strategic plan. Uses significant independent judgment in solving problems and  choosing methods of work. Mentors others on complex and far-reaching technology issues.

What You’ll Do:

• Consults with the internal customer to proactively identify technology solution opportunities that have a broad impact or significant risk to the business.
• Prioritizes and manages initiatives for both the business and IT. Partners with IT project team to see projects through implementation.
• Gathers high-level business requirements and defines scope during initial discovery through interviews and facilitating cross-functional sessions with partners
• Performs root cause analysis and logical solution development in business consumable language, including translating complex and conceptual ideas.
• Monitors and ensures solutions are meeting the partner’s expectations.
• Tracks ROI for business initiatives including cost, benefits, and risk.
• Serves as the liaison between IT and the business on projects and portfolio management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree and 10 years relevant experience, or
• In lieu of education, 14 years relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

• A recognized expert in multiple business functions and relevant technology solutions.
• Capable of unique and complex problem solving.
• Develops and maintains relationships. Able to clearly communicate complex topics with those who don't work within the discipline.
• Skilled at translating technical constraints/capabilities into practical, business terms.
• Consults on business process improvements and aligns business process to technology solutions.

What We Prefer:

• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to define and deliver technology solutions
• Experience with portfolio planning, prioritization, and roadmap development tools
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, HR systems, and ITSM tools
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including executive-level interactions
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and supporting modern delivery practice
• Ability to understand system integrations, data flows, and enterprise architecture concepts
• Experience supporting data platforms, reporting solutions, or cloud-based architectures preferred
• Exposure to AI, automation, or emerging technology initiatives is a plus
