Position Title: Director, Information Technology
Position Reports To: Vice President of Information Technology
Position Summary
The Director, Information Technology (IT) will oversee all technology operations for Apache and Skyway and evaluate them according to the organization’s goals. This role is responsible for devising and establishing IT systems and policies to support the implementation of business strategies by the leadership team.
Essential Functions
Analyze business requirements of the organization and determine technology needs to deliver against established goals.
Develop and implement an effective network security and disaster recovery strategy to minimize risk to the company.
Ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient delivery of technological equipment and software across the business.
Identify the need for upgrades, configurations and/or new systems.
Collaborate with senior leadership on best path forward and plans for implementation of new or upgraded technologies.
Build and maintain relationships with external technology vendors.
Develop tracking and reporting mechanisms to communicate effectiveness of Apache & Skway’s IT capabilities.
Lead a team of IT professionals across Apache and Skyway and oversee all technology operations.
Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, and systems are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for the IT department.
Represent Apache positively in industry-recognized organizations, conferences, and events.
Participate regularly in IT industry forums, trainings, conferences, etc. to remain up to date on the latest technology offerings related to our industry.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer technology preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT required

Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
No adverse environmental conditions expected.
May need to work on-site at locations requiring hands-on support that cannot be corrected through remote troubleshooting.
