 Position Summary:

KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology Operations Manager to support the Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) for Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management.  The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in operating and maintaining information technology systems in a government facility at security levels ranging from Unclassified up to and including Top Secret with Special Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) accesses required. 

You will be responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure used by the PAE’s Pentagon office to collaborate across the PAE and its stakeholders while also assisting with IT infrastructure at the PAE’s other National Capital Region offices.  The ideal candidate should be just as comfortable managing IT projects as they are with installing any required IT capabilities. 

  

Key Responsibilities:  

  

• Serves as the primary interface with government NCR IT support organizations and the PAE to install and operate NIPRNet, SIPRNet and AFSCI voice, video, and computing capabilities within the PAE’s Pentagon office while assisting with other offices throughout the NCR 

• Serves as the primary interface to DAF SAP enterprise IT providers to enable SAP voice (SVS), video (AF7), and computing capabilities (CV2 and PLx) within the PAE’s Pentagon office while assisting with other offices throughout the NCR 

• Performs duties across multiple locations throughout the National Capital Region (NCR), requiring regular travel between assigned sites as operational needs dictate 

• Works with PAE finance and contracting personnel to budget for and then procure any IT capabilities (hardware and software) required for the Pentagon office and assists with other PAE NCR offices 

• Manages all IT projects for the Pentagon office and assists with other locations across the NCR from concept to completion; provides status to PAE leadership, as required 

• Installs or facilitates the installation, by third party providers, of IT capabilities in the PAE’s facilities throughout the National Capital Region 

• Serves as the primary focal point for executing the IT system cybersecurity controls required for each system installed in the office including configuration control and inventory management 

• Prepares and maintains documentation required to achieve and authority to operate or an authority to connect for IT capabilities used within the office 

• Troubleshoots IT systems as needed to ensure high availability for the office’s occupants 

• Coordinate with Program Managers, System Owners, Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), Authorizing Officials, and engineering teams for any IT capabilities installed within the office. 

• Support security reviews, inspections, audits, and accreditation activities.   

• Monitor cybersecurity status and provide regular reporting to leadership and stakeholders.  

  

Work Environment:  

• Location: Pentagon (with local travel throughout the NCR as required) 

• Travel Requirements: Minimal, 0-20%   

• Working Hours: Standard – Core hours 0900 – 1500  

  

Qualifications:  

  Required:  

• Education & Experience:  

• Minimum of 10 years of experience operating IT systems in a government facility 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating IT systems at the SCI and SAP levels, preferably within the Department of the Air Force 

  

• Technical Expertise:  

• Demonstrated ability to install, operate and maintain SAP IT systems 

• Experience with cloud-based solutions in an Air Force or DoD context (e.g., AWS, Azure).  

• Experience with office collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, Project and Visio 

• Demonstrated ability to work well independently or as a team member.  

• Demonstrated ability to drive projects to closure and to assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment.  

• Ability to obtain Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and/or Information system Security Manager (ISSM) appointment(s) 

  

• Communication and Collaboration:  

• Proven ability to lead projects 

• Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical project teams. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex IT concepts to program leaders 

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines 

• Ability to navigate the complexities of military contracting processes and collaborate with others to procure and install IT systems 

  

Clearance:  

• Active TS clearance w/ SCI eligibility and prior SAP experience   

  

Desired:  

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or Cybersecurity  

• Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or Information Security experience supporting federal or DoD environments  

  

Certifications:  

• Required: CompTIA Sec+ 
  

Basic Compensation:

$160,000-$200,000

This range is for the Washington, D.C. area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.

 

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
