Senior Commercial Analyst

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Senior Commercial Analyst to drive commercial excellence, optimise profitability, and support high-value business decisions through financial analysis, pricing strategies, and bid management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop financial models to assess the commercial viability of new business opportunities and customer proposals.
• Manage pricing models, perform customer price calculations, and analyse pricing performance to maximise profitability.
• Lead and coordinate key tenders and bids from receipt through to contract signature.
• Monitor customer contracts, renewals, and commercial performance to minimise risk and ensure compliance.
• Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and commercial performance reporting.
• Support the design and implementation of commercial processes, governance frameworks, and ERP reporting.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, legal, and other stakeholders to provide commercial insights and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and ad hoc financial analysis to support business decision-making.

Requirements:

• Finance or Business Honours Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in financial and commercial analysis with a strong focus on financial modelling.
• Experience in contract lifecycle management and bid/tender management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of financial forecasting, project evaluation, cash flow analysis, cost accounting, and return on investment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyse large volumes of data and identify commercial opportunities that drive business growth.
