Focuses on the complex servicing of syndicated commercial loans, ensuring accurate administration, timely processing, and adherence to intricate loan agreements and agency requirements. Will be responsible for managing a portfolio of syndicated credits, performing highly specialized servicing functions, and serving as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.What you will do
Manage the end-to-end servicing of syndicated commercial loans, including participations, assignments, amendments, and waivers.
Process complex principal, interest, and fee payments for syndicated facilities, ensuring accurate distribution to lenders.
Reconcile agent and participant bank positions, resolving discrepancies and managing cash flows.
Interpret intricate credit agreements, legal documentation, and agency notices to ensure accurate loan system setup and servicing.
Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., lending, credit, legal, accounting) and external parties (e.g., agent banks, participant banks, borrowers) to resolve servicing issues.
Maintain accurate loan data within servicing systems, including commitment details, pricing grids, and facility structures.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to syndicated loans.
Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on syndicated loan servicing to junior staff and cross-functional teams.
Assist in the implementation of new servicing procedures or system enhancements related to syndicated loans.
Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of syndicated loan structures, LSTA conventions, agency roles, and related legal documentation.
Proven ability to interpret and apply complex credit agreements and legal documents to servicing functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency with commercial loan servicing platforms that handle syndicated credits (e.g., ACBS, Loan IQ).
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong understanding of loan accounting principles related to syndicated facilities.
Deep expertise in syndicated loan mechanics, strong analytical skills, and a meticulous approach to data integrity and compliance.
Must be able to work independently and in a cooperative team environment
Comfortable in a fast-paced atmosphere with varied responsibilities based on priorities of the current situation.
Strong comfort level with technology, including ability to adapt to new systems quickly and easily.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Experience Qualifications
5-7 years commercial loan operations, with a significant focus on syndicated loan servicing. required
The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 USD annually. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
