Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Pay: Based on Experience
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team on a temporary basis. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and packaging equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience, along with hands-on experience working with production or packaging equipment.
We understand that experienced Maintenance Technician II candidates can be difficult to find. Strong Maintenance Technician I candidates with the required technical skills and the ability to grow into a Technician II role will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues with production equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, sensors, controls, and related components.
- Assist with PLC and automated equipment troubleshooting.
- Repair and maintain conveyors, packaging machinery, motors, pumps, and other production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before they result in downtime.
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical and electrical components.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance needs.
- Work closely with production personnel to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience maintaining production or packaging equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of motors, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and electrical controls.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs.
- Ability to safely use common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment or parts as required.
