Overview
Stryten Energy operates a growing plastic injection molding and terminal facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We produce plastic components for car batteries and have a stable and growing customer base.Self-starter with excellent management, problem solving, communication and project management skills. Must be able to effectively organize, plan, schedule and control maintenance planning activities, including PM/PdM, backlog, CMMS data quality and work readiness with emphasis on safety, budgeting, team building and department training. Work effectively with plant engineering and all other departments to establish operational efficiency of production equipment, which relates to elimination of recurring equipment issues, continuous improvement, equipment modular quick change and setup reduction.
Responsibilities
• Must be able to plan and schedule skilled maintenance labor requirements for PM/PdM, planned repairs, shutdown work, and safety-critical maintenance activities; the Maintenance Supervisor retains responsibility for directing and managing maintenance personnel.• Must have knowledge of computerized maintenance systems to effectively manage all aspects of the maintenance operation including PM planning and scheduling, MRO, work order system, and Preventive/Predictive Operation.• Own CMMS data quality for maintenance planning, including equipment profiles, PM/PdM schedules, equipment BOMs, job plans, labor estimates, required parts, and accurate work order history.• Maintain and prioritize the maintenance backlog based on Safety, Quality, Delivery/Production and Cost impact, including backlog age and readiness for execution.• Develop and maintain the weekly maintenance schedule in coordination with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering, ensuring planned work is ready to execute before it is scheduled.• Ensure planned work includes a defined scope, required labor, parts, tools, drawings/procedures, safety requirements, contractor support when applicable, and estimated duration.• Develop and maintain critical spare parts lists, equipment BOMs and min/max stocking requirements; identify and escalate critical spare availability risks before they impact production.• Review downtime and work order history to identify recurring equipment failures and partner with Maintenance and Engineering on permanent corrective actions.• Ensure significant work orders are properly closed with failure/cause information, corrective action, labor hours, parts used and equipment downtime to support reliability analysis.• Track and report maintenance planning KPIs including PM compliance, schedule compliance, planned versus unplanned work, backlog age, repeat failures, and critical spare availability.• Must have the ability to implement and sustain elimination of recurring equipment issues.• Support maintenance budget requirements by improving planned work, controlling MRO usage, and identifying cost reduction opportunities.• Hands-on field verification is required to ensure job plans, PM procedures, parts, tools and work instructions accurately reflect equipment conditions and maintenance needs.• Investigates equipment failures, identifies root causes, develops preventative measures• Must be able to identify opportunities that ultimately reduce maintenance cost and increase equipment availability.• Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.• Must be able to write relevant procedures for Preventive Maintenance tasks using the CMMS software.• Must be able navigate the CMMS software to schedule Preventive Maintenance activities.• Must be able to sufficiently use the CMMS software to schedule Planned Work activities and report outs.• Perform other work as assigned by Management including 5S cleaning• Attend all meetings and training as scheduled• Comply with local, state, and federal guidelines as specified in codes.• Comply with plant safety, healthy and personnel policies.• Additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and company goals.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Certifications• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent industrial maintenance planning, reliability, or CMMS experience will be considered.• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance planning, maintenance operations, reliability, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge• Must possess required computer skills to properly and effectively perform the job. Required computer skills relate to Microsoft office programs i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Other computer skills relate to maintenance management programs.• Strong understanding of maintenance principles, practices and procedures• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Be a self-starter team-oriented person with exceptional organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills.
Work Environment and Physical Demands• This position is required to be on site at our Milwaukee, WI facility.• Occasionally standing, sitting, walking, bending and twisting.• Must be able to be safe around operating machinery for inspection of condition and viewing effectiveness of PM’s.• Will be exposed to varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)• Occasional lifting from grams up to 50 pounds
