Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, this Finance Manager will provide effective management and direction to the Finance team, ensuring the financial structure and systems support company objectives and goals while meeting statutory and reporting requirements. Leading a team of five ,you will ensure a service-oriented focus across Finance’s interactions with the broader business and its customers.
This is a hands-on leadership role spanning financial planning & reporting, cash flow, financial analysis, JSOX compliance, inventory oversight and year-end statutory reporting. You will act as a trusted advisor to the wider senior management team, driving continuous improvement while maintaining the integrity of financial systems and controls.
Responsibilities
- Ensure monthly results are prepared accurately and in compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines
- Regularly review Balance Sheet values and reconciliations
- Manage timely collection of receivables, company cash flow and banking relationships
- Fulfil duties assigned to J-SOX auditor as requested by SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission)
- Lead critical finance projects such as process improvement, cost optimisation and preparation for a future SAP upgrade.
- Advise Senior Management on group accounting matters, including Finance Policy implementation and monitoring.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in line with Company Policy, accounting standards and legal requirements
- Support and initiate projects to improve operations and drive new business initiatives
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of five, meeting regularly to provide ongoing feedback
- Conduct formal Performance Appraisals for each direct report
- Ensure accuracy, security and integrity of financial and reporting systems
- Liaise with external auditors to manage the annual audit and meet statutory reporting deadlines
- Prepare and review statutory accounts
- Ensure compliance with tax and other regulatory requirements
- Oversee inventory controls, driving DOS, stock turn and obsolescence targets
- Oversee credible revenue and expense forecasting and budgeting, reviewing with product and business unit managers
Candidate Profile
You will bring at least 5 years’ experience in a Finance Manager role within a multinational company, along with experience working with SAP or a similar large ERP system, and exposure to BI and modelling tools. Commercial experience gained in sales and distribution – ideally within a multinational group – combined with experience in SOX/JSOX reporting will set you up for success. A proven people leader, you can align financial strategy with business goals and identify and mitigate financial risk. Degree qualified in accounting with CA/CPA membership, you bring advanced Excel skills alongside a solution-focused, analytical mindset.
