What a Business Operation Analyst does at HP:
- Manage accessory shipment planning and scheduling to ensure timely delivery to factories, distribution centres, and customers while meeting business commitments.
- Monitor accessory supply, inventory levels, and shipment status; identify potential risks and coordinate corrective actions with Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams.
- Support accessory allocation, prioritisation, and fulfilment decisions to balance customer demand, inventory availability, and business objectives.
- Support Material Assurance of Supply (AOS) analysis by tracking material availability, shortages, and supply risks that could impact production or customer fulfilment.
- Assist New Product Introduction (NPI), product transition, and End-of-Life (EOL) activities through supply readiness tracking and risk analysis.
- Support Last Time Buy (LTB) planning and execution activities by preparing data analysis, tracking supplier commitments, and monitoring inventory consumption.
- Compile operational metrics, generate reports, and analyse demand and supply data using planning systems and business intelligence tools.
- Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Factory Operations, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance teams to resolve operational issues and improve business processes.
- Support business reviews, governance meetings, and operational war rooms through structured analysis, status reporting, and clear communication of risks and actions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, reporting automation, and data quality enhancement to improve operational efficiency.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- First level university degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically, within 6 months of experience in a supply chain function, fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other analytical aids to help manage the operation.
- Basic understanding of project management methodology.
- Developing business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility
- Introduction to HP's overall supply chain strategy.
- Basic understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ATP.
- Basic understanding of import/export regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Basic knowledge of inventory analysis.
