Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will support sales teams across the Asia-Pacific region by applying your electrical engineering expertise and knowledge of ABB’s products to develop accurate bills of materials and deliver timely responses to customer inquiries. You will support the development of competitive bids, estimates, and technical proposals that meet customer specifications, technical requirements, and budget expectations. Working in a dynamic, multicultural environment, you will collaborate with ABB teams and customers while using digital tools to collect, analyze, and consolidate technical and commercial data, ensuring accurate, compliant, and customer-focused solutions.

This role is contributing to the Electrification – Smart Power and Smart Buildings divisions in the Asia-Pacific Region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Offering technical advice and developing bills of materials based on customer specifications and technical requirements to ensure the most technically and commercially competitive products/systems/solutions are offered to the customer by ABB.
Providing technical support to sales teams during technical meetings, product presentations, negotiations, or in response to customer technical queries.
Performing analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet the customer’s needs.
Proactively engage product managers and attend training to ensure you are up to date with the latest ABB product offerings and technical capabilities.
Supports the sales teams in preparing and delivering the technical presentations and demonstrations on complex product issues, to both internal staff and customers.
Provides/delivers product related training to internal and external stakeholders.
Creating well-documented technical proposals in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate part numbers, proposed alternative products, technical deviations, and highlighting the value of ABB’s solutions.
Leveraging your interpersonal skills and high levels of verbal and written communication to build and develop stakeholder relationships both within the sales support and the sales teams we serve across the Asia Pacific region.

Qualifications for the role
You are proactive and take ownership of your tasks, performance, and development with the ability to work individually without constant guidance and close supervision.
Ability to demonstrate your experience/skillset in stakeholder relationship management and ability to perform and prioritise in a fast paced environment.
Ability to read Single Line Diagrams and Technical Specifications.
A background in technical support working with low voltage products (or a similar) demonstrated through either work experience or through study.
You are passionate about customer service, process improvement, and electrical engineering.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering with more than 2 years proven experience of working in a similar role or related industry.
You are at ease communicating in English, ability to speak basic Japanese or Korean would be a bonus.
