Job Description:
The Planner is responsible for supporting project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress reporting activities to ensure projects are delivered in line with approved timelines and project objectives. The role supports the project team in developing baseline schedules, monitoring progress, identifying delays, and preparing planning and performance reports within the Parsons scope of work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Prepare, develop, and maintain project schedules in line with project scope, milestones, and contractual requirements.
- Review contractor baseline schedules, revised programs, recovery schedules, and progress updates.
- Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
- Identify delays, risks, critical activities, and potential impacts to project completion dates.
- Conduct schedule analysis and highlight areas of concern to the project team and management.
- Support the preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports, planning narratives, look-ahead programs, and dashboard updates.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to collect progress data and validate schedule updates.
- Track key project milestones, deliverables, and interfaces across multiple disciplines.
- Assist in evaluating extension of time claims and schedule-related submissions where required.
- Maintain planning records, logs, and supporting documentation for schedule control and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with project planning procedures, reporting standards, and client requirements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications related to planning or project management are an advantage.
- Minimum 5+ years of related experience in project planning and scheduling on building or infrastructure construction projects.
- Experience in construction supervision, PMC, consultant, or contractor environment is preferred.
- Experience in high-rise building projects is an advantage.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC projects is preferred.
