Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional looking for your next opportunity? We’re recruiting for three Accounts Receivable positions across Western Sydney, with opportunities in Blacktown, Norwest and Seven Hills.
Our primary opportunity is an end-to-end Accounts Receivable role in Blacktown, suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of invoicing, payment allocations, reconciliations and collections while working closely with internal stakeholders to keep cash flow moving.
Even if Blacktown isn't your ideal location, we'd still love to hear from you. One of our other opportunities may be a better fit!
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll manage accounts receivable activities across a busy, project-based environment, ensuring customer accounts remain accurate, invoices are issued on time and outstanding debts are followed up proactively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable, including payment allocations, reconciliations and debtor ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices in line with project milestones and billing schedules.
- Proactively follow up overdue accounts, particularly debts aged 60+ days, to support timely collections.
- Manage the accounts receivable inbox and resolve customer and internal payment queries.
- Maintain customer accounts and produce aged receivables reports.
- Work closely with project managers and internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and outstanding issues.
- Support month-end reporting, account reconciliations and external audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and receivables efficiency.
About You
You’re organised, commercially minded and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You take ownership of your workload, communicate confidently with customers and internal stakeholders, and understand the importance of accurate billing and effective debt collection.
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end Accounts Receivable.
- Strong reconciliation skills and experience maintaining accurate debtor ledgers.
- Confidence managing collections and following up overdue accounts.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with project-based billing or within engineering, construction or professional services will be highly regarded.
