About the role
SoftBank Investment Advisers is looking for a top Analyst/Associate to join our investment team in Singapore. As part of the deal team, you’ll play an active role in due diligence, structuring, and financing transactions in technology-enabled sectors, as well as assist in monitoring portfolio companies. You’ll work in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, with frequent opportunities to interact with the firm’s senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct due diligence, financial modelling, deal negotiations on prospective investments and communicate executive-level insights.
2. Research and recommend companies for the Vision Fund to invest in.
3. Communicate results and insights with senior leaders (e.g., through live presentations and ongoing analysis/reports).
4. Manage end-to-end analytical projects by quickly understanding context and developing structured analysis to reach alignment and provide guidance to senior stakeholders.
5. Identify and educate other executives on new, innovative technology trends and markets, and recommend high-potential investments.
6. Actively monitor the portfolio companies and assist with key strategic projects.
7. Work with colleagues in different time zones to address urgent business matters, which may result in performing duties during times outside standard working hours.
8. Support the projects related to SoftBank Group’s (SBG) broader strategic initiatives.

Requirements

1. BA/BS at top universities, pre-MBA.
2. Up to 3 years of work experience in investment banking or private equity at leading tier 1 firms, with candidates expected to be at the Analyst or first-year Associate level.
3. Excellent proficiency in English, in addition to either Mandarin or Korean. Please specify in your CV which languages you are proficient in, both spoken and written.
4. Extensive experience in financial modelling.
5. Exceptional strategic, analytical, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
6. Driven, self-starter with a passion for excellence and tolerance for ambiguity and change.
