About the Role
Reporting into the Assistant Group Financial Controller, you'll work across multiple areas of the business, partnering with stakeholders throughout the group and gaining exposure to a diverse range of financial activities.

Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing month-end financial reporting, including journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting across multiple business units
- Support annual and half-yearly audits and statutory reporting requirements, providing financial analysis, working papers, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accounting policies are applied consistently across the business
- Prepare BAS/FBT and assist with other compliance matters
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and business case scenario modelling
- Working closely with stakeholders across various business units
- Analysing large volumes of financial data and providing meaningful insights
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations
- Leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to drive smarter ways of working
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical foundations with the right attitude and mindset.
You'll ideally have:
- Approximately 4 years' experience within Big 4 or Mid-Tier Chartered firms
- CA/CPA qualification completed or in progress
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel capability, including working with large and complex datasets
- A proactive approach and willingness to challenge the status quo
- The agility to adapt to changing priorities, systems, and processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative and sociable personality who enjoys working as part of a team
- A genuine eagerness to learn, contribute, and take on new challenges
