COMPANY
We're looking for a hands-on, strategic IT leader to be our Director of IT Infrastructure & Security. This is a foundational role responsible for designing, building, and securing the technology backbone of our business. You’ll lead the build-out of Ryze’s internal IT systems, modernize infrastructure, create security protocols, and oversee Help Desk support while preparing the organization for its next growth phase.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Build the IT Function From the Ground Up
Design and implement the company’s IT infrastructure roadmap, prioritizing scalability and cloud-first solutions.
Evaluate current systems, identify gaps, and develop future-state architecture including networking, SaaS management, endpoint security, and device provisioning.
Lead sourcing, implementation, and administration of tools supporting business operations, collaboration, and data security.
Security & Compliance Ownership
Establish and maintain information security policies, practices, and governance frameworks.
Monitor and mitigate security risks, overseeing vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response protocols.
Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including SOC2, GDPR, CCPA, as the company scales.
Operational Support & Vendor Management
Oversee and scale a lean IT team, beginning with Help Desk contractors.
Create efficient IT support processes for onboarding/off boarding, access control, device management, and troubleshooting.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate technology partners.
Collaboration & Strategic Leadership
Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Marketing, and People to align IT initiatives with business needs.
Contribute to business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
Serve as the go-to leader for internal IT initiatives, bridging tactical execution with strategic foresight.
WHAT WE OFFER
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and/or security, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience building or scaling internal IT functions in a high-growth or startup environment.
Experience with help desk operations, vendor management, and IT integration in distributed teams.
Strong knowledge of network architecture, endpoint management, cloud/SaaS ecosystems (e.g., Google Workspace, Okta, Intune/JAMF) and cybersecurity frameworks.
Hands-on mindset with the ability to execute day-to-day while driving strategic vision.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving skills.
Experience in eCommerce, consumer products, or distributed workforce environments.
Familiarity with AI tools and automation workflows is a plus.
Previous SOC2 readiness or audit experience preferred.
