Position: Stock Controller

Position Overview:

As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory levels of our company. You will work closely with the purchasing team to ensure that the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels at all times
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies
• Place orders with suppliers to replenish stock levels
• Manage the receipt and storage of incoming stock
• Ensure all stock is stored safely and in the correct location
• Keep accurate records of stock movements and transactions
• Monitor stock expiry dates and rotate stock accordingly
• Work closely with the purchasing team to forecast and plan for future stock requirements
• Identify and report any stock shortages or overstock situations
• Implement and maintain efficient stock control procedures
• Train and supervise junior stock control staff
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth stock management processes
• Continuously evaluate and improve stock management processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and control procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.

Contract Details:
