Position: Stock Controller

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Stock Controller.

Position Overview:

As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the inventory levels of our company. You will work closely with our purchasing and sales teams to ensure that our stock levels are accurate and sufficient to meet the demands of our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Cape Town, South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in our warehouse and retail stores
• Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and make recommendations for clearance or reordering
• Collaborate with the sales team to forecast future demand and plan for stock replenishment
• Ensure proper storage and handling of stock to prevent damage or loss
• Generate reports on stock levels, sales, and other key metrics for management review
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Train and supervise junior staff members in stock management tasks
• Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve inventory management processes

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in stock control or inventory management
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and procedures
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management software
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in the industrial equipment or supply industry is a plus
