Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time Airport Ground Staff to join our team at the Johannesburg airport. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist passengers at check-in, boarding gates, and baggage claim areas

- Ensure the safety and security of all passengers by following airport regulations and procedures

- Provide information and assistance to passengers regarding flight schedules, delays, and other inquiries

- Handle and resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner

- Assist with the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo onto/from aircraft

- Perform security checks on passengers and their luggage

- Operate airport equipment such as baggage carts, conveyor belts, and passenger ramps

- Coordinate with other airport staff and departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations

- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times

- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant safety regulations

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in customer service or airport operations is preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

- Knowledge of airport regulations and procedures is a plus

- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances
