Position Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Airport Ground Staff in Cape Town, South Africa. As a member of our ground handling team, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and safe services to our airline partners and their passengers. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and career development within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo from aircraft
• Guide and direct arriving and departing aircraft on the ramp
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, including check-in, boarding, and special assistance as needed
• Conduct security checks and ensure compliance with airport and airline regulations
• Operate airport equipment, such as baggage carts and tugs, in a safe and efficient manner
• Communicate effectively with team members and other airport personnel to ensure smooth operations
• Handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service or airport operations role is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary airport security clearances
