As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Lobby in Columbia, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence while supporting access control, visitor assistance, and security-related communications. You will help create a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff through professional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials as applicable, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Monitor entry activity, respond to access concerns, and report unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location procedures.
• Answer phones, provide general information and directions, and support a welcoming, professional environment while performing assigned security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
