You’ll bring technical know-how from crafting, developing, and producing mobile components and services, alongside stakeholder management experience from working closely with strategy and UX/UI design teams to architect, design, and implement solutions. We’re looking for a self-motivated Senior Android Engineer who is proficient in Android mobile development. You’ll bring technical know-how from crafting, developing, and producing mobile components and services, alongside stakeholder management experience from working closely with strategy and UX/UI design teams to architect, design, and implement solutions. About role

• Professional working knowledge in designing mobile experiences for variable screen sizes across diferent versions of Android. • Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and Java. • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. • Experience with o line storage, threading, and performance tuning. • Strong knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem, including libraries available for common tasks, benchmarking, and optimisation. • Proficient in Google’s Android design principles, interface guidelines, and code versioning tools such as Git. • Ability to apply SOLID principles. • Experience with MVVM/MVI architecture, Android Architecture Components, and other Jetpack libraries. • Experience with Jetpack Compose. • Experience working in a modularised codebase. • Experience with UI testing. What you’ll need • A capable technical lead who takes ownership of delivery and is willing to help grow and guide junior engineers towards appropriate target architectures. • Strong programming skills with a good working knowledge of Kotlin and modern toolsets such as Git, Android Studio, JUnit, Espresso, and GitHub. • Diverse technical experience and a proven ability to deliver high-quality applications at scale. Strong knowledge of security patterns and best practices is advantageous. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering to maximise inner-sourcing opportunities and reduce waste. • Advocacy for quality, supporting the team by leveraging approaches such as Pair Programming, TDD, Code Reviews, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing.
