The Operations Manager provides day-to-day operational oversight and administrative coordination for the department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services, workflows, and internal processes. This position serves as a central point of contact for operational activities, staff coordination, and process management. The Operations Manager works collaboratively across the department and with university partners to support departmental goals, maintain compliance with institutional policies, and facilitate smooth, consistent operations.Job Description
Job Duties
- Manages and coordinates day-to-day departmental operations, including workflow processes, scheduling, space and resource utilization, and oversight of equipment service and maintenance, to ensure efficient and consistent service delivery.
- Implements, and evaluates operational policies and standard operating procedures, monitoring compliance with university policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards, and recommending process improvements to departmental leadership.
- Assists departmental leadership with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of employees, and supports time, attendance, and performance monitoring in accordance with university human resources policies.
- Serves as a primary liaison between the department and university administrative, facilities, and support services units, coordinating operational needs and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Oversees departmental data tracking and reporting, including maintenance of operational records, compliance documentation, and metrics to support informed administrative decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 years progressive experience in academic administration or a closely related field in a complex organizational setting
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and resource management.

- Bachelor’s Degree

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
