Job Summary:

Responsible for procurement of all Central Distribution items in the most cost-effective manner, ensuring supplies are maintained at appropriate stock levels to meet demand. Responsible for cycle counts, annual and daily inventory reconciliation, inventory management, adjustment of min/max levels. Also assists leadership with vendor performance and is proficient at ensuring emergency order needs are met for optimal patient care. This is a critical front-line position.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Coordinates all inventory control functions under the direction of management. Responsible for accuracy of CD inventory, management of inventory to ensure adequate supply levels and daily inventory reconciliation and cycle counts. Manages stock-outs, adjusts min/max levels taking into consideration delivery times and usage. Supports the annual inventory turnover goals, reconciliation and counts. Assists with developing adequate supplies for PAR locations. Places orders in a timely manner and meets deliveries as required. Ensures correct items are ordered including part number and descriptions. Communicates delivery information to departments as needed. Utilizes professional resources to obtain products within required due date as necessary. Manages invoice discrepancies and opens purchase order reports aggressively. Optimizes use of MMIS systems. Prepares and reports on stock outs, MBOs, critical items, zero item report and issue/receipt reporting. Communicates as required with all departments advising as to inventory status. Works on special projects as assigned by management including new clinical startup projects, product line changes and adding/removing items from CD Inventory. Procures and stages supplies for delivery in support of project start up ensuring deadlines are met. Works in conjunction with department heads, special committees, value analysis teams providing support through product research, cost analysis, ECRI, and GPO data. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma / GED General or Bachelors Other / Related Field-Preferred

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5 years inventory management. Required

Good communication and computer skills a must Experience in Inventory Management Good negotiating and time management skills Ability to multitask Excellent organizational skills Good computer skills working with Word and Excel Solid Inventory and Purchasing Fundamentals
