Description
The Inventory Coordinator supports the daily coordination, accuracy, and movement of inventory within the Vault Operations department. This role works closely with Vault, Receiving, Returns, IT, and other Distribution Center teams to ensure inventory is properly processed, stored, picked, transferred, and accurately reflected in LogixPro and SAP.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily flow of deliveries in LogixPro and SAP with the Vault team, prioritizing picks based on e-commerce priorities, creation dates, cancellation dates, and management rush requests.
- Maintain and update the LogixPro database, including storage locations, open put-away transactions, re-process transactions, and inventory discrepancies.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, duplicate picks, returned products, overages, shortages, and products located on the warehouse floor.
- Partner with Receiving and Returns to ensure product transfers to the Vault align with available location capacity.
- Perform shipment put-away, including hot picks and hot put-away, and move watches between the Vault and other departments.
- Coordinate the movement and organization of watches throughout the Vault, including creating space for shipments, consolidating SKUs, and completing put-away activities.
- Perform weekly cycle counts, verify inventory accuracy, and process necessary inventory adjustments.
- Analyze and perform SKU conversions in SAP, including blocking SKUs when necessary.
- Assist management with annual Physical Inventory preparation and execution.
- Train and assist new employees and temporary personnel on Vault processes and procedures.
- Communicate with IT regarding issues involving conveyor belts, carousels, and other Vault equipment, and assist with approved enhancements.
- Use SAP transaction codes in conjunction with LogixPro.
- Research, confirm, and delete completed put-away transactions in LogixPro.
- Downgrade watches in SAP and LogixPro based on quality-control checks.
- Process short picks and zero-confirmed cancelled deliveries in SAP and print pick lists when necessary.
- Ensure the number of open totes is sufficient to support daily Vault processing requirements.
- Maintain the accuracy of the Inventory Map based on warehouse location, product velocity, item type, and brand.
- Pick orders from carousel and shelf locations as needed and verify pick accuracy.
- Create tote manifests and ensure proper manifest placement in totes.
- Assist other Distribution Center departments as needed.
- Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- One to two years of coordinator, inventory, warehouse, or distribution experience, preferably in a high-volume distribution center.
- Prior experience coordinating workflow, inventory movement, order processing, or warehouse activities.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and work ethic.
- Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing procedures and business needs.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse team.
- Positive, team-oriented, and collaborative attitude.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse work styles while fostering teamwork, respect, and collaboration.
- Ability and willingness to be cross-trained and work in other areas or departments.
- Computer proficiency required; SAP and/or LogixPro experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus; English proficiency is required.
- Must be available to work additional hours, including evenings or weekends, when required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, squat, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use both hands while handling watches, packing materials, totes, and other equipment.
- Ability to move pallets with or without equipment.
- Ability to safely perform manual material-handling tasks in a warehouse environment.
The hourly range for this position is $21.50 to $23.00. The hourly rate is determined by individualized factors such as experience and market location.
