HaloMD specializes in Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) under the No Surprises Act and state regulations for out-of-network healthcare providers, leveraging advanced technology and deep industry expertise to secure optimized reimbursements.
At HaloMD, our Legal Department is more than a safeguard. We are strategic partners who help the business move quickly, make confident decisions, and build solutions to ensure providers are paid fairly for the care they deliver.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Strategic Partnerships & Associate General Counsel, you will help build out HaloMD's procurement and vendor contracting as we continue to grow. You will own the vendor and technology agreements that keep HaloMD running, and help shape how that work gets done, from process to playbooks and templates. You will be the person the business trusts to get a deal right and help close it.
HaloMD moves fast, and the work will not sit in one lane. You may provide both legal and business leadership on SaaS agreements, privacy and compliance questions, client agreement amendments, and other commercial contracting needs. We are looking for someone intellectually curious and quick on their feet, who navigates through unfamiliar problems instead of running away from them.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own vendor and technology agreements from intake to signature.
- Build the process, playbooks, fallback positions, and templates that make this work more streamlined as HaloMD grows.
- Be a trusted advisor for the business on vendor and technology decisions.
- Partner across sourcing, operations, security, and finance to keep deals moving.
- Draft and negotiate SaaS, subscription, and technology agreements.
- Handle client agreement amendments, MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, BAAs, NDAs, and standard commercial terms as volume requires.
- Advise on privacy, HIPAA, data use, and security, flagging risk clearly and recommending practical paths forward.
Education Requirement:
- Must hold a Juris Doctor and active bar admission.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience (law firm, in-house, or a strong commercial mix).
- Experience with vendor, procurement, and technology contracting.
- Experience with healthcare, HIPAA, or regulated data environments.
- Proven ability to build and refine processes, not just run them.
- Strong deal judgment and the ability to explain legal tradeoffs in plain English.
- Intellectual curiosity and agility, with a bias toward action.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience negotiating SaaS and technology agreements.
- Familiarity with AI and data-driven products (model use, training data, privacy, IP ownership, risk allocation).
- Experience building or scaling a procurement or commercial contracting function.
- Experience with high-growth companies in technology or healthcare.
- Familiarity with the IDR process at the state and/or federal level.
