Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Screening in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas and access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication and exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notifications according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, trailer locations, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Report suspicious activity, damaged property, unsecured doors or gates, and other security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
